Probiotic Kefir

External health & skin issues can often be related to gut health. You’ll be surprised how much success you can get just by introducing probiotics into your dog’s diet. Even if you feed yoghurt you should consider incorporating kefir as well.

Yoghurt keeps the digestive system friendly by feeding the ‘good’ bacteria. However, kefir can actually colonize the intestinal tract with these wonderful single celled organisms. It also contains around 3 times the amount of beneficial bacteria than yoghurt.

Alfalfa powder

Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) is an inexpensive herb that is easy to find, and it has quite a few useful applications. In the Middle East, alfalfa is known as the father of all herbs.

Alfalfa is a member of the pea family and has been used in herbal medicine for nearly 1500 years. It is a perennial that blooms throughout the summer months and grows vigorously in most climates.

Kelp powder

Seaweeds and kelps have the broadest spectrum of trace minerals and vitamins of any plant group in the world. As such, they lend themselves to being a very good natural multivitamin and mineral source. The reason they contain this wide range of nutrients is because of their ability to absorb minerals directly from ocean water. Unlike land plants, kelps and seaweeds do not have root systems to absorb minerals. Instead, they absorb minerals directly through the plant tissue from the mineral-rich sea-water they are living in.

Livamol

A palatable red powder blend of proteins, energy and polyunsaturated oils, formulated to improve coat condition and general appearance of all dogs, including stud, show, young and convalescent individuals. Selected omega-3 fatty acids and high oil protein meals improve coat and skin appearance. Coat colour may be affected by dietary levels of minerals such as zinc, copper and iron.

Spirulina

Spirulina is a microscopic algae in the shape of a perfect spiral coil. It contains the most remarkable concentration of nutrients known in any food, plant, grain or herb. It’s the highest protein food- over 60% all digestible vegetable protein. It has a very high concentration of beta carotene, vitamins B-1,2 and 3, iron and trace minerals and the rare essential fatty acid GLA (gamma-linolenic acid).
