SohaliSpirit Labradors was born from a passion, love and gratitude of the breed, with the commitment of ethically producing the highest quality Labradors combined with what’s known to us as the sohali spirit, a spirit full of kindness, intuition, healing, compassion and above all love, the qualities our mothers have all generationally inherited.

As Breeders it is our ethical responsibility to improve and preserve the true Labrador breed standards and purpose, something we take great pride in when making decisions regarding who, when and why we breed. We are blessed with incredible international and local bloodlines giving us a diverse gene pool.

Excellent health and well being, confirmation and temperament begins with conscious choice and is the upmost importance to us. Holistically we refer to these 3 aspects as the body, mind and spirit and here at Sohalispirit we nurture these aspects in  our dogs, believing outstanding nutrition, exercise, engaging stimulation and love create the perfect environment for our Labradors to thrive.

We are situated on 18 acres on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria.

We have 2 puppy nursery’s, an enrichment play ground and 3 fully fenced paddocks for our adolescents and adults, with sunken water troughs for them to swim, sand for them to dig and play in and toys for their entertainment and development.

Labradors have been embedded in our hearts from the moment we knew what love was.

Our childhoods were surrounded by such trusted beautiful dogs . With over 40 years of experience this is why we wholeheartedly believe in the Labrador retriever.

Sophie was that typical Labrador , that embodied  only love, gentleness, happiness and that nurturing home feeling that only an earth angel sent to save your life could possess. Tahli came 7 years later from Lacote Labradors and took on everything Sophie was plus a cheeky character that made me laugh for days.

I was so inspired by these incredible dogs and their gift of love, I knew it needed to be shared by others.

It was a few years after that we realised we wanted to expand our kennel and we wanted Sophie & Tahli’s temperament to be within all our dogs. Only wanting the highest standard we imported Olive, Nikki and Chase from Croftsway Labradors in New Zealand and that is how the foundations of Sohalispirit was laid.

Our Labs are our family as are all the puppies they produce, and they will be for the rest of their lives. It’s so rewarding and soul filling to see our puppies all grown up and see how they have changed their families’ lives. They all mean the world to us.

That’s why we have created the Sohalispirit family. We want you to feel a part of our conscious movement to love our family members unconditionally and always look to improve their lives holistically like they do for us just by being. We will always be grateful for you taking such amazing care of our puppies and we are here for you at all stages of your puppies life.

Sophie and Tahli not only changed my life by filling my heart with unconditional love, they have also given me a life after the life I knew was taken away. They gave me my life’s purpose!

The beautiful, intuitive temperaments, pure love and gentleness these souls possess is what the Sohalispirit embodies. These characteristics are what we pride ourselves on and they will live on forever with Sophie and Tahli’s spirit running through every puppy that we create.

The commitment we made to become registered Breeders means we strive to always improve our knowledge,  understanding, health and well-being of our Labradors. We have done this by mentoring other Breeders,  working with vets to improve our protocols and keeping up with the latest advancements, visiting other kennels, creating supportive friendships within the breeding world and undertaking many areas of studies the latest qualifying as a canine nutritionist.
